Otunba Idiabana Receives EPRA 2018 Outstanding Creative Industry Entrepreneur of the Year

Otunba David Idiabana Received EPRA, Leadership and Entrepreneurial Awards (Outstanding Creative Industry Entrepreneur of the Year 2018) presented by Cllr. Kate Anolue The Deputy Mayor London Borough of Enfield.

Otunba David Idiabana is a multi-awards winning Entrepreneur, Insurance Broker and Business Consultant. A British Citizen of Nigerian origin who hails from Delta State. Nigeria.

He graduated from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria in 1980 where he obtained his B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Biochemistry and his Postgraduate Diploma and Master’s degree in Food Technology from the same institution from 1984-1986. In 1997, Otunba Idiabana did is Executive MBA programme at the University of North London. He also holds an accredited Diploma in Management qualification from the Chartered Management Institute, UK in 2009.

Otunba Idiabana started his professional career at Cheesbrough Products Industries Ltd, Isolo, Lagos, Nigeria as a Quality Control Analyst in 1986 and later moved on to Gaines Chemical Industries in Apapa, Lagos in 1987, as Quality Control, Marketing Manager and then General Manager.

Whilst in the UK, he served as the Co-ordinator and later CEO of the Pepper Pot Day Centre for older African Caribbean pensioners in the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea & covering part of Westminster from 1992 until 2002. Otunba Idiabana has three decades of management and leadership experience, having served on various working groups on policy formulation and development that affect BME groups at Local, Regional and National levels.

As a result of his wide ranging experience and expertise, he has served on various Steering /Working Groups for the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea, Newham Council, Newham (NHS) Clinical Commissioning Group, Department of Health, Department for Transport & The Environment, Central & North West London Mental Health Foundation Trust etc.

Otunba Idiabana is currently the Chair of Staywell Healthy Living Partnership (since 2010) in collaboration with West Ham United Football Foundation won the BT Sport Industry “Community Programme of the Year 2018“ Award. In 2014, Otunba Idiabana has been the Administrator of
Newham Safer Neighbourhood Board (SNB). The SNBs were set up by the London Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) to monitor the work of the Police Command in each Borough.

As a Youth Coach & Mentor, Otunba Idiabana has been providing work placement experience and mentorship for College & University Research Students for over two decades. He has also commissioned a number of diversionary projects that empower and enable young people to steer away from anti-social behaviour of gun, gang and knife crimes and embrace good citizenry funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and Home Office.

He was appointed UK Correspondent /Editor for the newly published Superior Classic Magazine, with HQ in Lagos, Nigeria in 2017.

HONOURS and AWARDS: Otunba David Idiabana has received numerous awards and accolades including recognition from Prince Charles at a Gala Reception at St James Palace in March 2000 and in March 2004 received the “International Manager of the Year Award” from “The International Association of Business Leaders” (North Carolina, USA) in Honolulu, Hawaii to mention but a few.
